In your eye!

Love the whole computing gig, but HATE all the wiring? You're not alone. Every day, we manage to think up a new way to free ourselves from our copper-based bonds, and ditch the cables. Wireless keyboards and mice, wireless speakers, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, the list goes on and on. Where will our endless pursuit of unchained technology happiness and connectivity end? While wireless AC power is still the thing of jokes, the yoke of your favorite digital camera has now been broken.

That's right! No need to buy a wireless digital camera, friends. Wi-Fi enabled memory cards are now available for your shooting pleasure. These little marvels are just what you are used to using in your current equipment, same size and shape, with large storage capacity. Utilizing a technology called Eye-Fi, tiny wireless transmitters embedded in the memory cards allow you to easily fire your photos and videos through the soup, straight to your computer. It's magic! Well, almost.
Here is just one example of such a card. If you are interested in getting your hands on one of these little babies to cut one more cord out of your digital life, work your Google-fu on Eye-Fi and see what's available.

Enjoy.
